Solar record in July

July was hot, very hot, in the UK. It was also sunny and that led to a new record being set for solar generation, averaging over 4 GWs for the first time. Solar is really starting to tick up as a bigger contributor to our electricity generation, with the previous records being set in April and May of this year.
