This page provides an example of how to use the Google Maps API to calculate driving, cycling or walking distances between many start locations and many end locations. Enter the postcodes, addresses or lat/longs in the start and end locations fields, separated by new lines and the travel distances and times will be calculated below. The results are tab separated and can be pasted directly into Excel.
Due to a change in how Google Maps calculates the usage of their directions service and the large number of requests this page generates, the cost of running this page is getting prohibitively expensive. I have limited the usage to 10,000 elements a day, so this page may well not work for you. The quota is reset at about 8am UK time, so come back then or at the weekend.
I've also added the ability to specify your own API key below so any charges will be applied to your own account.
